Kubik Finch Post #142 Auxiliary met at the Traer Memorial Building with 14 members plus Gracie Manfull as guest. Seven officers answered roll call.

President Diane Owens called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. The flags were placed and the pledge was said by all. God Bless America was sung with Sharon Allen at the piano. Flag bearers were Elaine Fink and Kathy Stammer. The blessing was given by Karen Podhajsky. The minutes were read. Correction: Kleenex boxes were given to all residents of the home and assisted living. Kathy Manfull gave the treasurer's report, which was approved and will be sent for audit.

Arlene Schmidt reported she sent 152 Valentines signed by Auxiliary members to IVH residents. Poppy Days are May 14 through 17. Please help her. Jessica Morrison will be Little Miss Poppy.

Pillow cleaning will be May 16.

The Farmers Mutual dinner was a success. There were 60 clients and 10 servers. President Diane Owens, Kathy Manfull & Verona Staker prepared the meal. Carolyn Adolphs made the buns. We served tenderized pork loin, potato casserole, broccoli salad, green beans with bacon, and angel food cake with whipped cream and cherry pie filling. Kitchen help was Joan, Arlene, Jean Shellman, Jean Beenken, Elaine, Donna, and Jane. Thanks to all who helped and donated to the dinner. It is truly appreciated.

The Legion's 95th birthday was attended by 73. Gloria and her helpers served a very delicious meal. The cake was made by Berlene and it was very good and pretty.

LeAnn Cluts made nut cups for the Junior Auxiliary to send ti IVH.

We will be sending Aubree Beenken and Anna Kvidera to Girls State with the help from the Legion. We thank you so much for your help.

April 9, 2014 will be the 60th anniversary for Government Day being held at the Toledo Reinig Center at 8 a.m. Jean Beenken and Verona Stakers will have kitchen duties. Arlene Schmidt is in charge of the dining room and President Diane at the admissions table.

Membership: Iowa is #1 in the nation.

Karen Podhajsky and President Diane did the draping of the cloth for our two deceased members, Loretta Hanus and Marjorie Ruzicka.

All sang God Bless America. Karen said a closing prayer. Jean Beenken motioned we adjourn at 8:55 and Karen Podhajsky seconded it. Carol Detje and Linda Ohrt served the Legion birthday cake and ice cream. It was very good.

Next meeting will be April 15 at 7 p.m. Cindy Blaine and Thelma Loutch will be hostesses. God Bless America!
